Bedrooms. The Darnley Hotel, Ilfracombe has 10 bedrooms. All accommodation is scrupulously clean, all bedding freshly laundered. The Hotel has

• 3 good sized Standard double en-suite bedrooms,
• a standard twin en-suite bedroom,
• a Superior double en-suite bedroom,
• a very large Premier Four Poster en-suite bedroom,
• a very large Premier 5’ Wooden French Sleigh Bedded room with en-suite Spa Bath,
• a Standard double with private facilities,
• a Family Room sleeping up to 3 with private facilities and
• a Family Room sleeping up to 4 with private facilities.

The family rooms are exceedingly large rooms with proper double beds and full size single beds. Each family room has its own private bathroom, lockable from the outside as well as the inside and naturally not used by any other room. The main advantage of these rooms is size, no small en-suite squashed into the room, and a lot of privacy.

All bedrooms as standard have well stocked, daily replenished courtesy trays, mulit-channel colour televisions with in built cd/dvd players, hairdryers and clock radios, together with soap, shower gel and shampoo dispensers. All linen is freshly laundered and all rooms have central heating which is available all year.

Lounge. The Residents Lounge is a large, comfortable, homely haven where you can read (we have many books in the hotel for guests use) listen to music, watch the bird life from the windows, or watch television on the 32” widescreen multi channel television. Coffee and Tea can be served, together with home made cakes.

Bar and Restaurant. The Darnley Hotel has a licensed bar and restaurant. The bar is always well stocked and reasonably priced, especially our Wine Menu.

The Restaurant serves breakfast and evening meals. Breakfast is always served fresh as ordered ranging from cereals, fruit juice and yoghurts onto a full English Breakfast cooked to order, or a Vegetarian Breakfast, or something as simple as scrambled eggs on toast. We serve freshly baked croissants, home made marmalade and jams, together with a large selection of teas, freshly brewed coffee and also decaffeinated tea and coffee available.

Evening meals are freshly prepared and genuinely home cooked, using wherever possible produce from the Hotel’s restored Victorian Walled Kitchen garden, locally sourced meat, cheese and other ingredients.

The Dining Room has patio doors opening out into the garden, and weather permitting, pre-dinner drinks and after dinner coffee can be taken outside.

With advance notice dietary requirements are happily catered for.
